Preparing For The January Deadline
✨ Help With All Things UCAS! ✨
The Lead Up To January
Hello lovely people!
I hope Year 13 is treating you well, especially now it’s getting chilly and dark… URGH. Anyway, with the January UCAS deadline right around the corner, now is the perfect time to ensure you’re on track for a successful university application. Here are some key steps I want you to be focusing on in the coming weeks:

1. Finalise Your University Choices
Take another look at your course and university choices. Make sure they align with your goals and interests, and double-check that you meet the entry requirements for each one. Having at least one backup option is always a smart move too.
2. Perfect Your Personal Statement
Your personal statement is your chance to shine, so make sure it’s in top shape! Focus on showcasing your passion for the subject, relevant skills, and any extracurriculars that make you stand out. Proofread carefully and consider asking a teacher or friend to review it for feedback.
3. Secure Your References
Reach out to your teachers or tutors to confirm your references are in place. They’re a crucial part of your application, so it’s essential to give them plenty of time to write a strong reference on your behalf. A friendly reminder about the deadline can be helpful too!
4. Submit Early if Possible
It’s always a good idea to submit your application ahead of the January deadline. This way, you avoid last-minute stress and any potential technical issues. Aim to submit at least a week in advance for peace of mind.
