One Month to Go Until Your GCSE Maths Resit – Let’s Get You Ready for Paper 1! 🔢

We’ve put together predicted papers specifically for the November series, covering the topics that are most likely to come up.

With just one month to go before your GCSE Maths Paper 1 exam, I know this might be a stressful time. Resits can feel like extra pressure, but you’ve made it this far, and with the right focus over the next few weeks, you’ll be ready to give it your best shot.

Paper 1 is non-calculator, which means brushing up on key skills like mental maths, basic algebra, and number work is crucial. But don’t worry—you’re not in this alone! We have all the resources you need to help you feel prepared and confident when you sit down for the exam on 6th November.

What You Should Focus On in the Next Month:

  1. Practice Predicted Papers:

    • We’ve put together predicted papers specifically for the November series, covering the topics that are most likely to come up. Download the PDFs and give them a go under timed conditions to simulate the real exam.

    • Stuck on a question? No problem! We’ve got video walkthroughs in our masterclasses showing you how to answer each one step-by-step.

  2. Key Foundation Skills Tutorials:

    • Our weekly tutorials continue, with a special focus on those non-calculator skills you’ll need for Paper 1—like fractions, percentages, and solving equations without a calculator. Each session breaks down tricky topics in a clear, easy-to-understand way.

    • Can’t make the live sessions? You can catch up on all the recordings at your own pace.

  3. Tackle Weak Areas Head-On:

    • Now’s the time to focus on any topics that still feel shaky. Whether it’s working with ratios, simplifying expressions, or understanding probability, we’ve got thousands of practice questions to help reinforce your understanding.

    • Remember, every bit of practice brings you closer to mastering those difficult areas.

  4. Show Your Work!

    • In Paper 1, showing your method is just as important as getting the right answer. You can pick up marks even if the final answer isn’t perfect, so always write down your steps!

What to Do If You’re Feeling Overwhelmed:

  • It’s natural to feel a bit of pressure, but don’t panic. Break your revision down into manageable chunks, focus on one topic at a time, and take regular breaks.

  • If something isn’t clicking, reach out! We’re here to help with any questions or challenges you’re facing.

You've Got This!

You’ve already made progress, and in this final month, it’s all about pulling it together. Keep practicing, keep asking for help when you need it, and remember that every bit of effort you put in now will pay off on exam day.
