How To Spend Half Term!

PSA - you're allowed a pause!

Hello lovelies!

Half term’s here, and if you’re wondering how to actually revise without total burnout, here’s how to use the time properly (and without burning out).

1. Treat it like a school day, but shorter!

Aim for two or three subjects a day max, and keep it focused. Try 45 minutes of revision followed by a 15-minute break. Mornings or early afternoons tend to work best because then your evenings are free. If it helps, team up with a friend to quiz each other (as long as you can stay focused!).

We’ve got tons of resources, free and paid, over on the Academy.

2. Prioritise what you don’t know yet

Sorry! We know it’s tempting to stick to topics that feel safe, but now’s the time to be honest with yourself. What are your weak spots? Half term is your best chance to fill the gaps and finally tackle that topic you’ve been avoiding.

3. Actually take time off

This is important. Half term is a reset, not a punishment. Go outside, see friends, switch off for a bit. Just don’t let “rest” turn into “I’ll start later.” Find that balance but remember, the break is meant to be part of your prep.

4. Mental health over over-revision

If you’re tired, stressed or overwhelmed, your brain won’t take anything in. A calm, focused hour of revision is better than five anxious ones. Rest is productive too.

So, to sum up? Use the time well, but don’t let it use you. You’ve got time and you’ve got the tools. Enjoy half term!
