GCSE Physics Paper 1: We Got You...
📅 Thursday 22nd May 📅
Hello lovelies!
Us again. I always just want to share our resources with you so that at least that part’s easier for you!
As always here are a few key tips to sharpen your technique and boost your confidence, plus links to revision videos, resources and our live support sessions the night before the exam.
📄 1. Use the Equation Sheet
Seriously. Don’t waste time trying to recall formulas if they’re given to you.
Always check the equation sheet first
Match up the units in the question
If you're unsure of the unit, look at the context, or use dimensional analysis (what units cancel out to get what you need)
🧪 Correct units = easy marks. Don’t throw them away!
🧮 2. Show All Your Working Clearly
Even if your final answer is wrong, you can still grab method marks.
Write the formula
Sub in the numbers
Show your steps, especially in energy, electricity, and particle model calculations
Don’t just type it in your calculator and copy the answer. Show what you’re doing.
🔍 3. Read the Question Carefully… Especially Multi-Step Ones
Physics loves to layer information.
Use values from part (a) in part (b)
Underline key values, units, or tricky wording
Pay close attention to command words like calculate, explain, describe. They tell you how much detail is needed
